The powerful combination of the SoilVue 10 soil sensor, CampbellCloud software and our new Aspen™10 Internet of Things (IoT) Edge Device will have you set up in minutes.
About the SoilVue 10
The SoilVue 10 is a soil water content profile sensor powered by Campbell TrueWave™TDR technology. This soil moisture, electrical conductivity, and temperature profile sensor was developed with environmental researchers and environmental monitoring networks in mind.
About the Aspen 10
Aspen IoT technology is redefining environmental IoT monitoring, providing robust, affordable, auto configurable, and easily deployable smart sensor solutions that allow for affordable densification of existing environmental monitoring networks and the ability to easily deploy entirely new networks.
- Cloud-ready out of the box
- No programming
- Quick to deploy
- Automatic configuration
- Integrated data logging, power, and communications
- Integrated solar charging
- Near Field Communication (NFC) and Bluetooth for easy connection to CampbellGo
- Flexible, multiple-application use
- Weather resistant housing
When partnered with the Aspen 10 Internet of Things (IoT) Edge Device, the SoilVue 10 measures soil profiles with minimal site disturbance and delivers accurate soil water content, electrical conductivity, and temperature profiles. This connection makes the SoilVUE 10 virtually maintenance free by eliminating the need for long cable runs or battery replacements.
Subscription to CampbellCloud
The Aspen 10 operates in conjunction with our CampbellCloud, cloud based solution for managing environmental monitoring networks. A 12-month subscription to CampbellCloud™ is required for the Aspen 10 to function.
What is CampbellCloud?
CampbellCloud™ provides a secure and resilient cloud-based service for remotely managing environmental monitoring station networks. With cross-browser compatibility and no software to install, CampbellCloud is accessible to everyone and provides a modern, user-friendly UI with self-manage subscription capabilities that allow organizations to be up and running in minutes.
When you purchase the SoilVue 10 solution, you will receive an email from us with further information on how to create an organisation account and start your subscription to CampbellCloud.
Installation Note:
If you don't have an installation kit, two installation kit options are available. The 33456 Installation Kit contains a 5 cm Edelman auger that is suitable for most coarse-to-fine-textured soils and a 0.914 m auger extension shaft that works on both versions of the SoilVue 10. The kit also includes a 5.72 cm socket with a handle that facilitates the installation by screwing the sensor into the ground. A clean-out tool and carrying case are also included with the kit. The 35118 installation socket and handle kit includes the tools necessary to screw the SoilVUE 10 into a 5 cm hole that has been created with a user-supplied auger. Because many users may already have access to a 5 cm auger, this kit allows you to only purchase the parts that you need.
